2016 High Voltage Golden Gloves Scholarship

Posted on 02-27-2016

For a second year in a row, the High Voltage Golden Gloves Scholarship will be awarded to two deserving boxers of the Texas Golden Gloves who plan to further their education by attending a junior college, four-year university, or a trade school.  Last year, Brian Flowers of Jimenez Old School Boxing and Pedro Ibarra of Hill Boxing Club were awarded the scholarships to help with their secondary education costs.

Andy Lecce is a former PA Golden Gloves boxer and knows first hand the value of the Golden Gloves program for youth.  By getting involved with the North Texas Golden Gloves program, Andy feels he is both giving back to the community and to the program which helped shape him.  In addition to the scholarships, High Voltage is the Texas Golden Gloves ticket sponsor for a second year.  Andy plans to continue to be involved with Texas Golden Gloves in hopes that local youths will have the same great experience that he had.

The application deadline is June 15, 2016.  All correspondence for the scholarship program should be addressed to:

High Voltage Scholarship Fund, c/o Golden Gloves, 1040 N. Henderson St., Fort Worth, TX 76107
